At ENERO Arquitectura we close 2024 with many projects in progress and we are excited about the new challenges that the coming year has in store for us.

The studio’s specialisation in various fields has enabled us to develop healthcare architecture projects, heritage intervention and biosecurity installations in 2024. We embrace the challenge of innovating in each of our current projects, making a commitment to the clients who trust in our philosophy.

In the field of healthcare architecture, we continue to focus on the humanisation of spaces. We would like to highlight the start of work on the new Hospiten Madrid Boadilla Hospital, a pioneering Hospiten Group centre in the Community of Madrid with a buildable area of over 55,000 m2.  We are currently working on the drafting of other projects in Tenerife for the Hospiten Group. This month, work will be completed on the Quironsalud Zaragoza Hospital, which will open in the first quarter of 2025. This centre has a surface area of around 30,700 m2, more than 250 beds and 135 outpatient consultation areas to provide comprehensive clinical care and cover all medical and surgical needs.

We continue to work for the Juaneda Healthcare Network in Palma de Mallorca, as well as drafting several completely new projects and refurbishments in the Valencian Community. The new Goumin Clinic in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire is scheduled for completion in 2025.

At ENERO Arquitectura we not only design new healthcare centres. We are equally demanding when it comes to intervention projects in existing buildings, adapting them to the current requirements of the healthcare sector. During 2024, we implemented various improvements at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, completed the remodelling of the intermediate ward of the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona and finalised the refurbishment project details of the surgical block of ward 7.6, with construction starting in 2025. Work on the refurbishment of the CEMCAT at Vall d’Hebron Hospital will also soon be completed. We are particularly pleased to be working on the extension of the Quironsalud Badalona Hospital. We completed work on the Fraternidad-Muprespa care centre, located in the Plaza de Tetuán in Barcelona. We are in the drafting phase of project execution for the comprehensive refurbishment of the MUPAG rehabilitation centre of Fraternidad-Muprespa in Madrid, a centre originally designed by the architect Miguel Fisac.

For more than fifteen years, we have been working on the complex adaptation, refurbishment and extension of the Jimenez Diaz Foundation University Hospital in Madrid. We have also finished the construction of the Foundation’s nursing school on the new UAM Pintor Rosales university campus.

The field within ENERO Arquitectura that requires the highest degree of specialisation is biosafety installations. We are continuing work on the NCB3 Biological Containment Animal Facility for the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. This type of installation requires precision, safety and functionality to be at the forefront of the design.

Heritage intervention has also become one of ENERO Arquitectura’s areas of specialisation. We would like to note that in November we started work on the Olite Parador refurbishment project, and we are finalising the execution plan for the Gredos Parador. With the improvements completed in the Segovia Parador we close an intense year of intervention in these typologies. As a studio we believe in the commitment to contribute to the care and rehabilitation of the art and heritage that is part of our culture. We base our interventions on maintaining the essence of the original project while modernising the different spaces using materials and techniques characteristic of the area.

At ENERO Arquitectura we will continue our efforts so that 2025 will be a year full of projects where we can carry on innovating.
